Fifth-grade students recently took part in a financial literacy workshop organized by the Fundación CEOE, where they discovered the story of Olegario, the goblin who became an entrepreneur. Through a dramatized comic, playful activities, and group work, they learned key concepts like saving, budgeting, investing, and how a company is structured. The educational program is part of the CEOE Foundation’s pedagogical project, launched to mark its 40th anniversary. It was developed in collaboration with Siena Educación and Fundación Diálogos. The teaching materials include cross-curricular units: in language arts, students work on financial vocabulary (“savings”, “investment”); in math, they solve financial problems inspired by Olegario’s adventures; and in social studies, they explore business types and payment methods. The CEOE Foundation, celebrating four decades of activity, describes itself as an institution committed to social betterment, vocational training, and promoting entrepreneurial culture among young people.Carolina Gala.
