Marta has been International Aravaca's Principal since its foundation in 2008. She shares her passion for entrepreneurship with students, creating and teaching a compulsory curriculum for pupils aged 10 and above. Under her guidance, students' projects have won national awards.
Thanks to her vision, Marta has spoken at various conferences on "Learning entrepreneurship from school". As she says, "It is incredible to see what students are capable of when you give them freedom and confidence."
With 20 years in education, Marta has successfully led ambitious schools like the Laude School chain, managing their organisation processes. She graduated in Business Sciences from Universidad Europea de Madrid and worked in its Expansion Department after her studies. She also holds a Master's in Management of Educational Centres.
A mother of a large family, Marta enjoys hosting family and friends at home and loves countryside walks with her dogs.
Valme is Head of Early Years and Primary Education with nearly 20 years of experience in education. Since 2005, she has led the holistic development of students and managed teaching teams with excellence at Internacional Aravaca. She is known for implementing innovative strategies that foster students' personal and academic growth.
As a school counsellor, Valme provides valuable support for students' emotional and academic well-being. Her expertise includes active methodologies, emotional intelligence and educational technology. She also contributes to university projects, advancing higher education and research in pedagogy.
Valme holds a degree in Pedagogy, a Primary Education diploma and international certifications, including Apple Distinguished Educator, Google Certified Educator and IB PYP teacher. Passionate about nature, she enjoys horse riding, embodying the energy she brings to her profession.
Miguel joined IA in 2016, first as Director of Innovation and now as Director of Learning. As such, he collaborates closely with ISP and leads the ILOS international programmes. As an expert in Educational Coaching and Pedagogy, he works alongside the Guidance team to support child safety as the school's DDSL.
Miguel specialises in Digital Security, Leadership, Coaching and Entrepreneurship and is an Apple Distinguished Educator and Google Certified Trainer. He contributed to consulting projects across Spain and participated in global conferences. He designed and directed Drive into Space, Europe's first aerospace camp, in collaboration with NASA trainers.
Miguel graduated in Teaching and Pedagogy from the University of Granada, already committing to innovation in active methodologies and the meaningful integration of technology in the classroom. He later joined the Attendis group in Andalusia as a primary teacher, where he eventually led the Innovation Department for several years.
Alice started at IA as an English teacher, believing that language fluency and cultural understanding are essential for navigating an increasingly globalised world.
A staunch advocate for the IB programme, today, Alice oversees the implementation of the MYP curriculum as MYP Coordinator. Under her guidance, the school achieved official MYP accreditation in June 2023. That same year, she was promoted to Head of Secondary.
Alice attended the American School of Madrid. She later pursued a degree in Translation and Interpretation at ICADE, specializing in English, French and Italian. After years working in this field, she transitioned into education, obtaining a Máster del Profesorado de Secundaria from Universidad Francisco de Vitoria in Madrid and taking on leadership roles such as Head of Foreign Languages.
A mother of four, Alice enjoys spending time with her big family, sharing with them her love for dancing, singing and traveling abroad to explore new cultures.
Tatiana se incorporó al IA en 2009 como profesora de Historia de Secundaria. Su liderazgo y dedicación la llevaron a desempeñar el cargo de Coordinadora de Secundaria y Bachillerato, guiando a los alumnos a través de la adolescencia. Especializada en los programas del Bachillerato Internacional (BI), impartió clases de Individuos y Sociedades del PAI y dirigió el equipo que consiguió la autorización del PD en 2024. En la actualidad, Tatiana coordina los programas de Bachillerato Nacional e Internacional.
Tatiana siempre sintió un profundo amor por el arte dramático, especializándose en dirección escénica tras estudiar en Madrid. Pasó un año en Londres con la compañía francesa «l'Ange Fou», enriqueciendo su mentalidad internacional e integrando varias disciplinas artísticas en su enseñanza. Posteriormente obtuvo un Máster en Historia Universal por la Universidad de La Rioja (UNIR), demostrando su compromiso con el aprendizaje permanente y su desarrollo como educadora.
A Tatiana le gusta viajar, esquiar, bailar y, sobre todo, pasar tiempo con su familia, su mayor fuente de inspiración y equilibrio.
Laura has been at IA for almost 15 years. She has been serving as the PYP Coordinator for the past seven years, playing a key role in implementing the PYP programme, which enabled the school to become an authorized PYP centre.
Laura began her career as a teacher, delivering lessons in Music, Language, Mathematics and Social Studies. Over the years, her passion for teaching and the transformative power of education enticed her to take on leadership roles.
Laura holds a degree in Education with a specialisation in Music, a Master’s degree in Music Therapy and a degree in Early Childhood Education. Her commitment to the philosophy of the International Baccalaureate is evident in her daily work, as she believes it has a profoundly positive impact on students, fostering their critical thinking and global awareness.
Outside of work, Laura is a proud mother and a passionate music lover, always seeking ways to make the world a better place through education and creativity.
Miriam has over seven years in educational guidance, social projects and family counseling. As Coordinator of the Humanities Department and School Counselor at IA, she collaborates with teachers and families to ensure a holistic approach to student well-being, enhancing emotional intelligence and promoting inclusion.
Miriam has worked on youth and family programmes, vocational guidance and educational inclusion initiatives. She led social and educational projects focused on childhood, youth and employment. Her international experience includes working as an educational psychologist in Medellín, Colombia, supporting students with learning difficulties and training educators.
Miriam holds a degree in Psychopedagogy and was the top graduate in Primary Education from the Autonomous University of Madrid. She has specialised training in Family and School Mediation, Family Counselling and Educational Psychology, enabling her to guide students, parents and teachers effectively.
Valle brings over a decade of experience in educational management and marketing to her role as Director of Admissions at IA. She guides families through the admissions process with professionalism and empathy. She collaborates closely with academic staff to ensure each student's transition into the school community is seamless, reflecting her commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
Valle's international experience and multilingual abilities enable her to connect with families from diverse backgrounds, enriching the school's global perspective. Her dedication to education and strategic insight contribute significantly to the growth and success of Internacional Aravaca.
Valle holds a degree in Sociology and Social Psychology from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
Alejandro manages marketing and communications at IA. His mission is to connect the school with families, strengthen its image and increase recognition among new parents. He aims to create authentic connections, highlighting the school's educational approach through effective campaigns and clear communication aligned with its values.
Alejandro has 15 years of experience in marketing and communication. He has worked in renowned institutions, designing strategies to increase student recruitment, build family loyalty and position educational centres competitively. His strategic approach and understanding of families' needs have driven the growth and reputation of the organisations he has worked for.
Alejandro holds an MBA specialising in International Marketing and training in advanced digital strategies.

Patricia Nuñez
Psychologist
Patricia Núñez is a psychologist who has completed a variety of training programmes in different areas. Academically, she holds a degree in Psychology from the Complutense University of Madrid and a Master’s in Psychological Intervention Programmes in Educational Contexts, where she studied learning strategies, sex education, mediation, guidance and social skills.
She also completed a course with the CADAH Foundation, where she learned about assessment, diagnosis, treatment and how to support individuals diagnosed with ADHD both at home and at school.
Subsequently, she took a course on Gestalt techniques applied to childhood - a course on laterality in children at the Mar Ferré Centre and furthered her knowledge of humanistic training processes at various schools in Spain and abroad.
She trained in Gestalt Systemic Therapy and completed an introduction to psychopathology from the perspective of Gestalt Therapy, as well as full training in Gestalt Therapy.
She is currently continuing her professional development through other approaches, with the aim of maintaining an integrative view of child and adolescent development in order to offer comprehensive support.

At Internacional Aravaca, students receive personalised attention. Our staff in the guidance service directs the study support programme for those who encounter learning difficulties, diagnosing them, as well as reinforcing the teaching of study techniques.
Children with special needs and their families receive support at every stage.
Specialist support
Our private school in Madrid has an external agreement with specialists in speech therapy, occupational therapy and psychopedagogy.
They intervene during the school day and in coordination with the educational community - teachers, therapist and family.
