Between February 2nd and 6th, our Secondary students enjoyed an experience they will not easily forget. The trip to Formigal was much more than a school outing; it was a week of genuine togetherness, personal growth, and shared moments that strengthened the group in a very special way.We were welcomed by continuous snowfall for most of the week. Far from discouraging us, the constant snow created spectacular conditions on the slopes. The weather only improved on Friday, but it did so at exactly the right time: after several days of steady snowfall, we were rewarded with a bright, sunny day that turned out to be, without doubt, one of the best skiing days possible. Each day at the resort combined learning, effort, and fun. Students improved their technique, gained confidence, and discovered that challenges are easier to overcome when they support one another. Practising sport outdoors, surrounded by nature, not only strengthened their physical fitness but also allowed them to disconnect, breathe fresh air, and recharge mentally and emotionally.Beyond the slopes, living together throughout the week was one of the greatest highlights of the trip. Sharing rooms, laughter, small challenges and new experiences builds bonds that can take months to develop in the classroom. These intense days help strengthen friendships, encourage integration, and create a healthier, closer atmosphere across year groups. They returned home tired, certainly, but happy, proud of what they had achieved, and carrying memories that will stay with them for a long time. Experiences like this remind us that learning also means stepping outside the classroom, living together, challenging ourselves, and growing as a community.Alice PallarésHead of Secondary
