During the months of January and February, Year 7 students took part in a unique experience by participating in the second online cultural exchange

During the months of January and February, Year 7 students took part in a unique experience by participating in the second online cultural exchange organized by our school in collaboration with other ISP group schools. On this occasion, the Year 7 A group was paired with The Kalyani School in India, while Year 7 B collaborated with Kehoe-France in the United States.
As part of this initiative, our students developed key skills such as communication, organization, and teamwork. Initially, each student introduced themselves to their Indian or American partner through an email exchange and a short video. This was followed by several group video calls, during which all participants had the opportunity to get to know one another better and share insights into their cultures and daily school activities.
During the video calls with India, both English and Spanish were used as the languages of communication, as the Indian students are learning Spanish as a foreign language. This bilingual approach enabled students from both countries to strengthen their language skills while gaining a deeper understanding of each other’s cultures. In the video calls with the United States, English was used exclusively. Through both exchanges, our students were able to demonstrate their strong linguistic competence in different languages.

This first experience has been highly successful and greatly enjoyed by our students. In the coming months, we will be welcoming a visit from the American students, which will provide our learners with the opportunity to meet in person and further enrich this cultural exchange experience.
