The fact that all the students who sat the examinations were awarded the Diploma reflects our commitment to learning and the support we provide throughout this stage. At the same time, the high percentage of bilingual Diplomas highlights the importance we place on proficiency in different languages as part of our educational approach.

The Diploma Programme allows students to explore different areas of knowledge in greater depth while developing skills that are essential for facing future academic and personal challenges. Analysing, researching, asking questions and building arguments are all part of an educational experience designed to prepare our students to continue learning.

IB Academic results

The International Baccalaureate results add to a track record of excellent academic performance at other stages of education. Our students achieve outstanding results in the PAU (university entrance examinations) and continue their education at universities in different countries.

Academic results that open doors

The International Baccalaureate results add to a track record of excellent academic results at other stages. Our students achieve outstanding results in the PAU (university entrance examinations) and continue their education at universities in different countries.

Currently, we have a 100% pass rate in the examinations, an average PAU score of 8.7 out of 10 and 58% of average scores above 10 out of 14.

Furthermore, 35.48% of average scores are above 12 out of 14, while 16.13% exceed 13 points out of 14. The highest university entrance score reached 13.73 out of 14.

These results reflect solid academic preparation and the support we provide so that each student can confidently face the next stages of their educational journey.

An international education with the IB Continuum

At Internacional Aravaca, we are committed to an international education that supports our students throughout the different stages of their development. We are one of the few schools in Madrid that offer the IB Continuum, providing all three International Baccalaureate programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), aimed at Early Years and Primary students; the Middle Years Programme (MYP), for Secondary education; and the Diploma Programme (DP), for upper secondary education.

This pathway allows the International Baccalaureate approach to be progressively integrated throughout the entire educational journey. From their earliest years, our students develop research, critical thinking, communication and reflection skills that continue to evolve through the different stages until they reach the Diploma Programme.

For us, having the IB Continuum means providing a coherent educational experience in which knowledge and skills are developed progressively, preparing students to face the next steps in their education with confidence.

A Diploma Programme debut with every student graduating

The May 2026 results also hold special significance for our school community: Internacional Aravaca has celebrated the debut of its Diploma Programme with every student achieving the Diploma.

In this first cohort, all 13 students who sat the examinations were awarded the International Baccalaureate Diploma, achieving a 100% graduation rate. In addition, 85% achieved the bilingual Diploma, with an average of 33.85 points out of 45, compared with the worldwide average of 30.88 points.

This first result marks a milestone for our school and reflects the work carried out throughout the IB Continuum. The Diploma Programme thus completes a pathway that begins in the early stages with the PYP, continues through Secondary education with the MYP and reaches upper secondary education with the DP.

Preparation that continues beyond the IB

For us, international education does not end with obtaining a qualification. The aim is for our students to reach university and the next stages of their lives with solid academic preparation and the personal tools they need to thrive in different environments.

The results achieved in the PAU also reflect this preparation. We currently have a 100% pass rate, an average score of 8.7 out of 10, and 58% of average scores above 10 out of 14.

Furthermore, 35.48% achieve average scores above 12 out of 14, 16.13% exceed 13 points out of 14, and the highest university entrance score reaches 13.73 out of 14.

These results add to those achieved in the Diploma Programme and demonstrate the preparation with which our students approach university admission and their next academic challenges.

Preparing for a global world

Being part of International Schools Partnership (ISP) also broadens our students' opportunities, as they become part of an international educational community connected with schools, students and teachers from different countries.

This international dimension allows students to take part in exchanges, cultural experiences and connections with other schools, enriching an educational experience that goes beyond the classroom.

At Internacional Aravaca, we understand international education as a process that combines knowledge, critical thinking, languages, experiences and an open outlook on the world. We want our students not only to be prepared to gain admission to good universities, but also to navigate increasingly diverse academic, professional and personal environments with confidence.

Growing up prepared for the future

The 2026 results are a source of pride for the entire Internacional Aravaca community, especially because of the significance of the launch of our Diploma Programme of the International Baccalaureate in Madrid and the fact that every student in this first cohort achieved the Diploma.

However, they are also an opportunity to keep moving forward. We believe that every student has unique potential and that our responsibility is to provide the environment, tools and support necessary to develop it.

From Madrid, we work to educate individuals who are confident, curious, committed and prepared to build their own future, through an international education that begins in the early years and supports them through university and beyond.

Because, for us, education is not solely about achieving good results, but about helping every student discover everything they are capable of achieving.
