On December 2nd, 2025, International Aravaca hosted its fourth annual Culture Fair, “Around the World with 3º EPO.” Emotions were high as the third graders began setting up for the fair. A month earlier, they had chosen their countries and formed their groups, and they soon started scrambling every Friday to look for information. Each group member gave their all as they researched different aspects of their assigned countries. They investigated traditional dances, delicious foods, and celebrated traditions, and, as the cherry on top, they created their own souvenirs to give to passersby. In the days leading up to the fair, the students took everything they had researched and designed posters to showcase their findings. Little by little, they also brought pillows, blankets, and decorations to begin setting up their stands, creating a cultural fair that no one was expecting, transporting families and other visitors to our school’s very own “Rastro.”Mrs. Tascha also played a big part in the fair by teaching the students a Bollywood dance, which they performed along with a traditional Filipino dance called “Sakuting” that relies heavily on hand-eye coordination with a partner using sticks. These two dances served as the opening and closing of the fair.It was a day they would never forget, as they were able to see their hard work come to life.Ridge.
