In the English classes of 3ºESO, our students have taken part in an activity especially designed to combine creativity, teamwork, and language development. Starting from a template with 32 squares and questions as varied as “What is your favorite food?”, “Which superpower would you like to have and why?” or “Which three adjectives would your family use to describe you?”, the students began a journey of personal discovery and mutual understanding. After completing their own responses, each student interviewed a randomly chosen classmate and, with the information gathered, wrote a descriptive text in the third person. To do this, they were provided with resources including vocabulary on character traits, connectors, and cohesion strategies. The process included writing several drafts, using correction symbols, and a phase of peer evaluation, in which each student reviewed and suggested improvements on another classmate’s work. Finally, the best texts from each class were selected, not only for their final quality but also for the progress and improvement shown throughout the process. This kind of dynamic activity is highly beneficial, as it fosters oral expression in English, critical thinking and reflection, independent learning, peer collaboration, and also helps students get to know each other better, strengthening group coexistence. Through mutual review and rewriting, students become more aware of their mistakes, find ways to overcome them, and develop skills that go beyond the classroom, preparing them to communicate more effectively and consciously.
